Archie brings a humble, no-ego approach behind the decks—letting the music do the talking.
Biography
Archie’s musical language is built on patience, repetition, and intent. Shaped by early exposure to punk, experimental electronics, and rave culture, his sound sits at the intersection of 90s to early-2000s minimal tech house and acid-driven hypnosis.
Rejecting polish and excess, Archie treats groove as the main narrative force. Rolling basslines, stripped percussion, resonant acid sequences, and long blends prioritise tension over immediacy. His sets are never rushed; they evolve gradually, allowing dancers to sink into the rhythm rather than chase moments.
Renowned for story-driven long sets, Archie excels in extended formats where control and intuition are key. He’s equally trusted for sunrise and after-hours sets, navigating the fragile transition between intensity and release with subtlety and emotional awareness—made for locked-in rooms, dim lights, and dancers who listen as much as they move.
A key figure within respected musical projects including the SCRUBS! collective in Jakarta and the Bali-based experimental duo Fraktal, Archie is recognised for his refined taste and grounded approach. A regular fixture at Potato Head Beach Club and a resident DJ at Klymax Discotheque, he is trusted to shape late-night through early-morning moments with confidence, restraint, and an unwavering focus on groove.
A respected presence within the South East Asian underground, Archie brings a humble, no-ego approach behind the decks—letting the music do the talking. His selections are deliberate, his pacing assured, and his connection to the floor constant, making him a dependable guide from deep night into first light.
